    What Happens Next

    The bespoke process

    01

Appointment One – Meet & Greet

Every custom gown begins with a personal consultation in our beautiful Mount Martha bridal studio.

Our Meet & Greet is a one-hour appointment designed to introduce you to the world of custom bridal design. During your visit, you’ll discover our craftsmanship, couture construction techniques, luxurious fabrics, intricate hand-beading, and signature corsetry. You’ll also have the opportunity to browse and try on a selection of over 35 sample gowns in sizes 6–12, allowing you to experience different silhouettes, necklines, and design details.

This appointment is all about understanding your vision. Together we’ll discuss your wedding style, inspiration images, favourite design elements, and the look you want to create. I’ll provide professional guidance on what will work beautifully for your body shape while ensuring every design is achievable from a couture construction perspective.

At the end of your consultation, you’ll receive an approximate quote for your custom wedding gown and a clear understanding of the design journey ahead.

We recommend booking your Meet & Greet 8–12 months before your wedding, with your gown ideally being ordered 6–7 months prior to your wedding date.

    02

Appointment Two – Order & Fit

Approximately 6–7 months before your wedding, we’ll begin the exciting process of creating your bespoke gown during your Order & Fit appointment.

    At this appointment, we will:

    • Take your full body measurements.
    • Finalise your gown design using your inspiration images.
    • Confirm every design detail, including silhouette, neckline, sleeves, train, lace placement, fabrics, embellishments, and hand-beading.
    • Discuss construction techniques to ensure your dream gown is both beautiful and perfectly achievable.
    • Review every detail together so you feel completely confident before production begins.

Following your appointment, I’ll prepare a detailed design brief outlining every aspect of your gown. This will be emailed to you for approval, ensuring we’re both aligned before production commences.

Once your design brief has been approved and your second deposit has been received, we begin sourcing your luxury fabrics, lace, and embellishments. From this point, your gown officially enters production, where every detail is carefully handcrafted to create a dress that is uniquely yours.

This thoughtful process ensures every custom gown reflects your vision while maintaining the exceptional quality and craftsmanship that Lookbook Bride is known for.
